Coffee iPad 3 Wallpaper

Being back in Edinburgh I’ve spend all morning out in the snow and strong wind – and its 3. April. It’s terrible weather so instead of having a relaxing day in Edinburgh we have found a nice cafe where we can work a bit, get nice lunch and some good coffee.

I took the opportunity to get an wallpaper of the coffee – so if you havent had you coffee yet here is a cup.

New Wallpaper for the New Apple iPad

It’s finally time for a new iPad wallpaper for the brand new Apple iPad. I was out walking in the forest with the Canon 5D Mark II and the small 50mm f/1.8 and nothing else wast just like exploring as a kid as I remember from when I was a kid in these fabulous surroundings. Light was great so we headed for the beautiful Danish forests around Silkeborg and captured the above image. I’ve moved the watermark – let me know if it’s ok!

Bark iPad 3 Wallpaper

Here is the first real iPad 3 wallpaper! I went out in the Danish forest with the Canon 5D Mark II and the small 50mm f/1.8 standard lens. The weather was perfect for textures in the forest so I captures the textures of the bark whit this amazing to look.

I really prefer to take pictures on days with clouds because I think the light is much better than on a sunny day. The image have been cropped and edited in Adobe Lightroom 4.

To help keeping track of my images I have added a watermark for these large iPad 3 wallpapers in 2048 x 2048px resolution.

iPad Wallpaper of Bus and Taxi in Hong Kong

iPad wallpaper of bus and taxi in Hong Kong. I found it fun to walk around in Hong Kong and using the technique called panning – to capture the dynamics of the city. Basically you follow the moving object with your camera using a relative slow shutter speed of 1/8 second.

At the moment we work to get Foto Factory and Nordic Appeal up and running before we have to pack everything into the Bongo and drive of on the adventure in UK.

As the rumors starts to development and we are getting closer to the big announcement it become clear that the standard 1024 x 1024px wallpapers will change to something bigger as the iPad 3 (according to rumors) will feature a 2048×1536 Retina display and a quad-core A6 processor to power all the extra pixels. I look forward to this but are also a bit sceptically about the big screen. First of all I’m not really sure it necessary and secondly

I’m not sure Apple will be able to fit all the power into the small enclosure. Well lets see.

This all means that after the iPad 3 is released I will have to update and post iPad Wallpapers in 2048 x 2048px resolution — that is BIG. I’m not sure how to get around this because putting my images here for free is not really something that pay out anything really and giving a way images (for personal us only of cause) as big as 2048px can be a problem. I’ve had a lot of images stolen by people and web developers using my images without giving credit or pay for commercial use. Used correctly this is not a bit problem because the images can only be used for commercial work with a license or for personal wallpapers or blogs. Images in 2048 x 2048px resolution, however, can be used for prints and will bother me because that’s the way I’m supposed to earn for a living and pay my bills – because photography is a costly business.

Anyway no need to worry just yet I’m sure I will find a solution. Anyway here is this weeks iPad wallpaper in native iPad resolution.

Native Pine Forest in Scotland

A nice native forest from Scotland. Yes, we have some native pine forest here in Scotland – it is beautiful and a great addition to the mountains.

iPad Wallpaper of Forth Bridge - South Queensferry, Scotland.

The Forth Bridge is the railway bridge over the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland fourteen kilometers west of central Edinburgh. It was opened on 4 March 1890 and was for over seventy years the sole claimant to this name.

It’s a great and picturesque bridge so many photographers and tourist go and watch the bridge on Sundays – me to I have just returned from South Queensferry after a good day with my camera.

I know I should have posted a nice romantic Valentine’s Day wallpaper but I stay within my area of photography and post a retro edited version of Forth Bridge. The image is captured with the trusty Canon 5D Mark II and the 24-105mm f/4 Zoom lens.

Mountain iPad Wallpaper of the Black Cullin

Mountain iPad wallpaper capured during a trip to Isle of Skye, Scotland. The image were captured with the Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 Zoom lens.

The image is very simple showing the Black Cullin mountains with the first snow this year I like how the white show on the black rocks on the mountain made great textures with the dark clouds in the background!

Red Apple iPad Wallpaper

After reading the book about Steve Jobs I feel in love with the book cover and though I would make an iPad wallpaper themed after the book: The Red Apple iPad Wallpaper. I love making these simple wallpapers for the iPad and hope you enjoy using them. It’s a great book btw with lots of insight about Jobs thought and actions in his life – how he fought cancer and how his personality inflicted the people around him.

It’s interesting the read about how Apple started and how – with and without Steve Jobs developed into how we know it today.

iPad Wallpaper with Sunset over Yellow Mountain, Huangshan

Sunrise at Huangshan or the Yellow mountain. The iPad Wallpaper was captured during sunset when I visited the Yellow mountain in China last year. The area is known for its beautiful scenery, peculiarly shaped peaks and Huangshan Pine trees. Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, as well as modern photography. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China’s major tourist destinations.

Together with hundreds of other visitors we got up very early to watch to sun riser and illuminate the mountains with warm orange light. Never before have a share the view of a sunrise with so many people – an excited moment.  A few minutes after the image were captured all people disappeared  and we had the whole area for us self.

The iPad wallpaper was captured with the Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon 24-105mmm f/4 Zoom lens.

Blurry Forest iPad Wallpaper

Forest iPad Wallpaper captured in the fall just before the leaves were gone. The nature photograph was captured while moving the camera to make a more blurry and abstract image of the forest. I like the texture and the green moss together with the warm orange leave of the Larch trees. There is a nice resemblance to this birch wallpaper.

The image was captures with the Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon 24-105mm f/4 Zoom lens.
